Grinch Inspired Cake Decorating Class

This class is for the beginner cake decorator or for the person who is just curious about what cake decorating is all about! If you have limited experiences with cake decorating, found yourself frustrated with smoothing buttercream, or if you're trying to win come Christmas time, this is the class for you! We will be doing a fun Holiday themed cake that tastes amazing and will look even better once you’ve completed your decorating!

We provide everything you will need from cake, buttercream, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU!

The Class is Saturday December 2, 2023 and is 3 hours long so we can have enough time to decorate and ask questions along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating up to 7 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!

This class is good for ages 16+, but you might like to leave the kiddos at home and enjoy a fun night out!

FAQ

What will I be doing in the in-person class? Besides having the most fun ever? We will be going over some cake facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own cake that you will take home with you that day.

Do I need to know how to bake? Nope! We will have the cake layers pre-made for you and will give you the recipe in a packet at the class so you can create your own on your own!

What will we learn in class? You’ll learn what goes into preparing batter, buttercream, the value of different icing consistencies, how to color icing, and tricks to fill piping bags (believe me, it’s harder than it looks). You’ll also learn different decorating techniques such as smoothing buttercream, layering and stacking cakes, and using tips to decorate a cake. Techniques will vary depending on the class and can be customized to your needs.

What do I need to bring? Nothing! Everything will be provided for you including the cake itself. All you need to do is join us and have fun! Messy decorator? You can bring your own apron or just wear easy-to-wash clothing.

What age is best for cookie classes? Our classes are for almost any age! From youngsters to grandparents- come on in and have some cake fun with us!  Our in-person classes are great for any age; however, kiddos under 16 are encouraged to take a kids class with me!

What will I bring home? By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cake ready to take home in their own box. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!

Can I sign up as an individual or as a group? You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 7 seats per class, so definitely sign up ASAP!  Your class ticket includes 1 kit.

About Our Cake Classes! Who doesn’t love getting out and doing something fun while also eating delicious cake!? That’s what Cake Class is all about! Our classes are based in Western Mass and cater to the beginner cake decorator. Whether you just want a fun date, a girls-night-out or just want to explore what cake decorating is on your own- we have a seat for you. For in-person class, all you will need to bring is yourself (and an apron if you are a messy decorator), and we take care of the rest. You will get a set of pre-baked cakes (pretty tasty if I do say so myself) as well as all the supplies you will need to decorate it. Our classes are 3 hours, and that will give us enough time to decorate the cake and answer any questions along the way. You will leave the class with your very own box of your very own newly decorated cake! We have classes throughout the year which highlight different themes so make sure to subscribe to my website so you can get in on the cookie and cake action!

Cancellation Policy for In-Person Classes:  :( We understand that life happens so that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 5 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (and what a nice friend you are). Any cancelation after the 5  days will be a class credit redeemable for up to 1 year from the credit issue date. If we do not hear from you before your class’s start time, and you do not show up for class, we won’t be able to offer you a refund or a credit regardless of whether you're sick. So please reach out to us if you’re feeling sick before class starts!

Allergens : Eggs, gluten, and nuts are present in the kitchen used to bake these cookies and icing. Please consider your allergies before registering.

Wix Event Fees : Your ticket price includes your Wix Event fees; however, Wix Event does not refund fees. If you cancel your ticket for a refund, we'll give you a refund less the Wix fee - since we don't get this back either. Wix keeps it regardless if you show up or cancel.  *sad face*
